Appointments are available at a range of times; our aim is to offer a consultation with a health care professional within 48 hours if it is clinically necessary. Urgent cases are seen within 24 hours, but a doctor may wish to discuss the degree of urgency by telephone prior to booking the appointment. Please call as early as possible (preferably before 09:30) to request an urgent on-the-day appointment.
At present appointments can be booked up to 3 to 4 weeks in advance. You may specify a preference for a particular doctor, but this may mean you have to wait longer.
Routine appointments are for 10 minutes duration. Please ensure that separate appointments are made for each person needing to see the doctor/nurse/healthcare assistant.

If you need to speak to a doctor or nurse for medical advice please telephone during working hours. You can book a telephone consultation with a GP or leave a message with the receptionist. We cannot guarantee that all patients will get to speak directly with a GP unless the matter is urgent.
When you are seeing the doctor or nurse you may be offered a chaperone for certain examinations. This is in line with national guidance to support and protect us all, and relevant staff have been trained in this role. Any patient can request a chaperone; it will not affect their treatment. A doctor or nurse may request a chaperone but will always discuss this with you and you may, of course, refuse. If you would like to discuss the role of chaperones, please ask the doctor or nurse.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
